ABOUT DR. MARK TANABE
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY29456) and I work in private practice as a therapist. I did my undergraduate studies at UC San Diego and earned Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees from the California School of Professional Psychology, an APA accredited program long known for its commitment to in-depth clinical training. I was rigorously trained to help individuals, couples, and families in excellent clinics throughout Los Angeles, including the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center and the Wright Institute Los Angeles. I have also taught courses as adjunct faculty at the California School of Professional Psychology in the clinical PsyD doctoral program.

Personally, I am passionate about creativity, music and being in nature, whether it be time spent in the garden, ocean or on extended personal retreats in wild and beautiful places. Professionally, my work feels to me to be a calling. It is both a privilege and an honor to walk with such incredibly brave souls, both young and old, on their journey of healing and self-discovery.
